Possible risks and side effects

As with all medical procedures involving an injection, there is a risk of redness at the injection sites, pain, bleeding, swelling, and infection. Any tenderness should settle within 48 hours.

Bruising may occur and may be more obvious the next day, and can take up to 10 days to fade.

There is a risk that the muscles may not respond as expected, or at all. As all individuals are shaped different, there is also a risk that a small muscle controlling the upper eyelid may be affected causing a drooping upper eyelid or eyebrow.

After treatment, you may notice the areas that have been injected appear less red or sweat less during exercise.
